Twirling in circles as the rain falls,
I lift my face to the sky to understand the world.
The rain mixes with my tears as I think of you.
You were taken to soon.
Taken by the enemy, thrust into a war that was not your own.
Leaving behind a broken hearted girl with a ring on her finger.
Leaving behind a family so full of love and support for you.
Leaving behind a little sister who idolized you
So young, with such a long wonderful life ahead.
Who knew that your place was up in the stars.
5 years later..so much has changed.
Your now far underground, yet so far up in the sky.
The memory of you has never faded.
Every year at the same time, on the same day, I honor you.
Flowers shower where you lay as I sit and tell you about the world that you miss.
When I get up to leave I kiss the stone, and say that we shall meet again someday.
As I start to walk away, I feel a breeze grazing my face and I know that you hear.
Your always there, you never really left.
I feel all these things as I twirl in the rain.
And I smile to myself and know that everything is going to be ok..
